Privacy Policy

This explains what Partnr collects, why, who can see it, and the choices you and your parents have. We keep it simple: we collect only what Partnr needs, we never sell it, and we never show ads.
1. What we collect
In short: What you tell us when you sign up and use Partnr, and a little technical info to keep it working.

We don't collect your exact location, contacts, photos of you or payment information, and we don't use cookies for advertising or tracking.
2. How we use it
In short: To run Partnr, match you with partners, keep students safe and send you the emails you choose.
- Create your account and profile, and check your school when possible.
- Suggest partners and competitions (some of this uses AI; see section 4).
- Let you message, post projects, apply and work with partners.
- Send emails about requests, messages, applications and weekly matches. You can turn each type off in Email settings.
- Keep Partnr safe: review reports, enforce our rules and stop misuse.
- Fix bugs and improve Partnr.
- We never sell your information, use it for advertising, or let advertisers target you.
3. Who can see your information
In short: Other students see your profile, never your email, birthday or zip code. You choose who can find you.
- Other students can see your first name and last initial, city, grade, interests, skills, competitions, project idea, fun fact, links and experience.
- You choose who can find you: students at your school, in your city, or anywhere. Your school name is shown only to students at your school and to partners you've connected with.
- Never shown to other students: your email, birthday, zip code and email settings.
- Messages and shared files are only seen by you and the partner you're talking with. We may review them if they're reported or if we believe someone is at risk.
- Blocked students can't see you at all.
- People who aren't signed in can't see any student profiles or projects.
4. Services that help run Partnr
In short: We don't sell or share your information with anyone for their own use. A few services process it for us, only to run Partnr.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or if we believe it's needed to protect someone's safety.
5. How long we keep it
In short: As long as your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your data.
- We keep your information while your account is open.
- When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your profile, skills, projects, messages, files and settings within 30 days.
- We may keep a small amount (like a report about someone who broke the rules) when we need it for safety or the law.
6. Your choices and rights
In short: You can see, change, download or delete your information, and turn off emails, anytime.
- Edit your profile anytime from Edit profile.
- Choose who can find you from the Matches page.
- Turn off emails in Email settings, or tap Unsubscribe in any email.
- Get a copy or delete everything: email hello@projectpartnr.com from your account's email. We'll reply within 30 days.
- Depending on where you live, you may have more privacy rights. We'll honor them.
7. Students under 18 and parents
In short: Partnr is for ages 13 to 19. Parents and guardians can ask to see, change or delete their teen's information.
- Partnr doesn't allow anyone under 13. If we learn someone under 13 signed up, we delete the account.
- If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must review our Terms and this policy with you.
- A parent or guardian can email hello@projectpartnr.com to: see or download their teen's information, change their teen's privacy settings, or delete their teen's account. We'll confirm they're the parent or guardian first.
- We don't collect precise location, don't show ads, and don't sell or share teens' information.

8. How we protect it
In short: We use strong security and limit who can see what. No system is perfect.
- Your data is stored with Supabase using encryption and strict access rules, so each student can only read their own private information.
- Sign-in uses email links or trusted providers, so Partnr never stores passwords.
- If a security problem ever affects your information, we'll tell you and the people we're required to tell.
9. Changes and contact
In short: We'll tell you before important changes. Questions go to hello@projectpartnr.com.
